Eyjafjallajökull is a mountain glacier
in Iceland. It is pretty hard for foreign people to pronounce that name, but
Eyja means island and fjalla means mountain and jökull means glacier of ice cap.
So in English it would be the “Islands’Mountains’Ice Cap”. We have few glaciers in Iceland, but
Eyjafjallajökull is one of the smallest ones. Eyjafjallajökull is situated in
the south of Iceland and north of Skógar, which means in English forest, and
west of Mýrdalsjökull, which is another glacier.
